HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR CABINET SHIPMENT
Most of our products are large and cannot be handled by small parcel delivery services. At Frugal Cabinets we use pallet shipping handled by freight carriers to delivery your cabinets in the best possible condition. Over the years we have worked with our vendors and the freight forwarders to secure great volume pricing to pass along to our customers. On this page you will find information on estimated lead time lines and tips on how to receive freight shipments, as well as how you can receive free shipping for your order!

Qualify for Free ShippingWe know the cost of freight shipping can seem like a large expense when you are shipping an entire kitchen full of cabinets to your home.
That’s why for orders over $2,500, Frugal Cabinets will cover your shipping cost! See below to see if you qualify:
*Free Shipping is determined by total cost of cabinets, not including Richelieu Decorative Hardware, Rev-A-Shelf Accessories, Closet Systems, Assembly Fees and/or Sales Tax.
*Entire Cabinet Order must be RTA/Flat Pack. Assembled orders are not eligible.
*Cabinet Accessories will be charged a shipping fee because they are drop shipped from different warehouse.
*Discontinued/Clearance Cabinets are excluded from shipping offers.
*Professional Program accounts are eligible for Free Shipping Program.
Shipping fees are paid upfront online when you place your order. The shopping cart reads the weight, size, and final destination to calculate the total capacity and determine the appropriate shipping method and cost. You can choose to deliver to a commercial or residential address. However, address clarifications by the freight forwarders are based on city zoning, so it is possible to have a commercial property in a residential area.
This cost can be generated by the Estimate Shipping and Tax tool at the bottom left hand side of the shopping cart or when you complete your checkout process. These shipping charges cover one delivery attempt to the original address entered, the customer is responsible for any address change or redelivery fee after order is submitted.
Upon receipt of the order our system automatically sends the order to the appropriate vendor. Flat pack cabinets are placed on a wooden 4’x4’ or 8’x4’ pallet (depending on the cabinet sizes), shrink wrapped to secure positioning on the pallet, and strapped down to ensure it can be safely transported. However, if you order assembled cabinets they are removed from the manufacturer’s original packaging to be put together. New cardboard boxes are cut to fit the specific size of the cabinet and wrapped around each cabinet for full protection. This box will be strapped to the individual cabinet to secure the coverage.
This pallet will include a Bill of Lading from the freight company and packing list with the items ordered from that vendor. Each pallet is loaded on to a freight truck and handled by the carrier’s terminal stations to get it safely to its final destination. Smaller orders containing a few filler and/or accessory items, that are categorized as small parcel, can be sent out using UPS or FedEx to offer a better shipping cost.
After the appropriate carrier has taken control of the shipment a tracking number will be sent to the email provided at the time of your check out or assigned to your dealer account.
SHIPPING LEAD TIMES
Frugal Cabinets has secured some of the industry’s top lead times to make sure your orders are processed with a top priority. Flat pack orders are processed and shipped within 2 full business days. If you choose to have your order assembled, there is a total of 5 full business days to process before it is packaged and shipped out.
The shipping time is determined by the freight forwarder’s transit times and range from 2-5 business days. The distance and type of address can determine your duration. Commercial addresses must be tractor/trailer accessible for a dock height delivery. Residential deliveries will require a delivery appointment, which can add an additional day for shipping.
Commercial addresses deliver within business hours and residential deliveries will be contacted at least 24 hours in advance to schedule this appointment (usually a 3-4 hour window). Please select lift gate when checking out if you do not have a way to unload the truck. Freight drivers are responsible for curbside delivery only and do not bring the shipment into your home.
A responsible party must be present to inspect, inventory, and sign off on delivery. Please discuss with your driver if you see any initial visible missing or damaged items, and clearly mark it on the driver’s copy of the Bill of Lading. Do not reject the shipment for these missing or damaged items.
